Toilet Talk: A World of Music … Videos
I was bored of my itunes playlist at work the other day so I pulled up youtube and put together a playlist of music to listen to. Somehow (and admittedly not my finest moment folks) I found my way to new wave early 80s music. Which brings me to the point of discussion, what happened to fun music videos? And more importantly, if you could live 1 day in any music video, which would it be?
My choice is Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer. Don’t act like you’ve never seen it - even if you hate the song you’ve seen it. It was one of the first stop motion animated videos of its time - you surely remember a Peter Gabriel made of fruit singing - and that’s what I want, to have a visage of myself composed of fruit singing sexual innuendos.

On the other end of the spectrum, Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden is akin to 5 minute nightmare - a zombified suburban nightmare complete with regurgitated ice cream cones. I actually remember waking up in cold sweats dreaming about this videos.

So what do you choose? Why?
